We are sold out for the current season but continue to sell eggs and select frozen product through the winter - please contact us to check on availability...
 
EGGS ($3.50/doz on farm, $4.00/doz at market)
Available year round on the farm, at the Greens Garage, and the Harvest Moon. Seasonally through the Seven Springs CSA, GFGP CSA, and Blacksburg Farmers Market.
 
CHICKEN ($3.35/lb on farm, $3.90/lb at market):
Please see the downloaded order form for pre-order May-Oct 2013 on specified pick-up dates. All poultry pick up will be here at Weathertop from 2-4 in the afternoon. Please bring coolers and your own bags for the chickens; ziploc freezer bags work best if you plan on freezing them whole. Average weight is around 4.5 lbs. each. Also available at the Blacksburg market, frozen, from June-Oct.
 
LAMB ($2.50/lb live weight plus butcher fees - contact us for details):
Please see the downloaded order form for Spring and Winter 2013. Order by the half or whole lamb. We anticipate average live weight around 80-100 lb. per lamb. Expect to pay around $250-300 total including butcher fees for a whole animal. Take home around 25-35lbs of meat, custom-cut, vacuum-packed and frozen.
 
TURKEY ($3.50/lb on farm):
Please see the downloaded order form for updated pick-up dates in October & November 2013. If you are ordering a Nov turkey you can expect an average weight close to 20 lbs. If you would like a smaller bird, in the 10-15 lb range, please order for October. All turkey pick up will be here at Weathertop from 2-4pm on specified dates. Order soon as we tend to sell out early.

PORK ($2.05/lb live weight plus butcher fees - call for details):
Please see the downloaded order form for order dates for the Spring & Fall. Pre-order only. An "average" live weight would be about 260 lbs. for a whole, and about 130 lbs. for a half. For a ball-park figure with all butcher fees included you can expect that a half will cost around $300 and a whole around $600 total. You will take home approximately 150lbs for a whole/ 75 lbs. for a half of custom-cut-to-order, vacuum-packed, frozen pork.
 
DUCK ($4.50/lb. on farm, $5.00/lb. at market)
Available fresh by pre-order on a few dates in the summer or frozen at the market or on other poultry pick-up days while supplies last. Average weight around 3.5-4 lbs.
 
RABBIT ($6.50/lb. on farm, $7.00/lb. at market)
Available year round from our freezer or seasonally at market. Sold whole. Average weight is around 3.5 lbs. each. Rabbit recipes are available on our website.
 
2 YEAR-OLD LAYERS ($4.00 each)
We regularly sell off our older laying flocks. They are generally about 18-24 months old and are still great for the home flock or for stewing. Give us a call if you’re interested.

STEWING HENS ($3.00/lb. on farm, $3.50/lb. at market)

If we don't sell them off live we fix them up for you to take home for that soup, stew, or crock-pot. They are much smaller than the broilers but have a lot more flavor, only requirement is a longer slower cooking time due to age.
